Users want to find a pet, so they need to visit many pet shelter websites. They spend a lot of time finding pets and making appointments.
This platform helps people see all pets in all pet shelters and make an appointment with them. And it will help make the dream of pets come true.
I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the users I’m designing for and their needs. A primary user group identified through research was working adults who wanted to have a pet.
After I came up with and sketched a few wireframes, I created an initial design for the NewLife app. These projects are focused on an easy way to see all pets in all animal shelters and make an appointment with them.
People don't want to waste time going to all the pet shelter websites to find a pet.
Pet shelter websites do not allow users to book appointments online.
My goal here was to make strategic information architecture decisions that would improve overall website navigation. The structure I chose was designed to make things simple and easy.
What I've learned:
I've learned that even small design changes can have huge impact on the user experience. The most important takeaway for me is to when coming up with design ideas and solutions.
